This girl....

she keeps me busy...more than I should be.   All for the passion of her dance.  She dances every night...and keeps busy on the weekends with performances.  This weekend, she has 5, 5! performances

And it begins.................

Every fall, my daughter's dance studio starts their practice for the BIG show.  Every year the rehearsal schedule starts earlier and more days are added!!  

We will be at the studio EVERY Monday, Tuesday, Thrusday, Friday and Saturday for the next the FIFTEEN weeks!!  Well and Wednesday also (for regular class)

But anything for this dancer!

 After a long....very long weekend of dance stuff...I am tired (still).  

It started with 14+ hrs of studio photos.  But it is one of my favorite things to do.  the smile on the smallest dancers to wear any costume they want is worth the tired feet.  

Sunday was recital...another long day but again....the nervousness but smiles from the dancers is worth is.  It means they love what they are learning!!  The look of relief when they are finished!!  Glad I can be part of that!

life as a dance mom has started

boy!  I am beat.  my daughter was asked to dance in an upcoming dance show (2 mts of intense practice)....she and I are at the studio about 3-5x per week...crazy...but isn't this beautiful girl worth it!!

had another performance over the weekend.

she had her winter recital with Baila Baila.

I took two cameras, both were dead. so we took only cell pictures.

My baby had her first dance performance with Baila! Baila! while I was on vacation. Luckily her grammy & papo were here to take her & support her.

Mom said she was nervous and very serious...of course I was very sad not to see her first dance performance, but still very proud of her!!

my mom wanted Carolina to join Baila! Baila! so off we went to our first dance class last night.
and yes my daughter wanted to quit (the other girls/boy knew all the steps & she had the wrong shoes) but I told her to just finish this class & then decide. She finished & decided she'll go back.

So tomorrow (or this weekend :D) we are off to buy her MORE dance shoes....ok. she is getting a little expensive....good thing it was grammie's idea and she is paying for this class....
