This girl....

she keeps me busy...more than I should be.   All for the passion of her dance.  She dances every night...and keeps busy on the weekends with performances.  This weekend, she has 5, 5! performances

And it begins.................

Every fall, my daughter's dance studio starts their practice for the BIG show.  Every year the rehearsal schedule starts earlier and more days are added!!  

We will be at the studio EVERY Monday, Tuesday, Thrusday, Friday and Saturday for the next the FIFTEEN weeks!!  Well and Wednesday also (for regular class)

But anything for this dancer!

time for science....Explora is a hands on science learning center!!

In April I went on a field trip with 100+ 2nd graders....me and my kids...love that place, but once we got in the door....they ditched me for their friends!!!

time for a parade...

the State Fair parade.  The dance company my daughter belongs to, has a float.  And with the float comes decorations!  

Here the kids were 'painting' cotton candy for the dancers to hold.  

of course after a LONG night of painting, balloon filling, float building...certain little people get super tired.

Then its off to the parade at a "too early" time!!

The float looks great!!  so many great workers...working late (or early) into the morning.

State Fair Time...

the state fair was here...in september :)  man am I behind!!  So my daughter danced...its one of biggest dancing performances of the year.  LOTS of dancers.

of course after dancing, comes the fun part...the fair!  we don't ride the rides :)  we go to eat!!  

and the kids have been playing at the McDonald's Farm since they were little....as you can see, they are no longer small enough to ride the "tractors"  

First Day of School

The 20th was my babies first day of school.  They are in the in 2nd grade~seriously could have cried, but I was around other moms.  I am not sure how and when they grew up.  But they did so well, I walked them to school and they left as though it was just another day.  

BUT I did earn a mom award for this!  I forgot to pack their lunch for the first day of school...yep her is their lunch.  LOL 

Happy bday...

We celebrate "twin" style in august...since my kiddos are the same age for the whole month...but since we with my folks we celebrated early...

life as a dance mom has started

boy!  I am beat.  my daughter was asked to dance in an upcoming dance show (2 mts of intense practice)....she and I are at the studio about 3-5x per week...crazy...but isn't this beautiful girl worth it!!

so back in August-yep August-(a little late on the posting)---anyways back to my post, back in August I opened the freezer to find this. A red bowl of KIDDO SURPRISE!!!

So I pull out this red bowl of what I thought was JUST ice!!

WELL I was SOOOO wrong. when I look a little more closely I see.....DIRT!!! yep. dirt and ice!!!

so here are my cooks---NOT sure what they were making. I asked, but didn't really get an answer....just cute kids and dirt ice!!! OY!

Welcome Lacy and Tank---the kids got a gift card for their birthday from auntie christa. so off we went to build a bear to 'shop'....we got two new members of the BAB family!!!

so as you know. we were gifted a great gift a while back. a Trampoline. totally awesome the kids love it.

well I caught my hubby and kids on it. these are NOT great pics at all. but they are just awesome.

Well we decided we would make Cookies for her snack @ school.... ALL went went until the morning of her birthday...I went to pack them for her class and.....well lets just say they were not as soft as they should have been :D lol

Got Rock?

So in my earlier post--I mentioned that we had recently been camping. Well on our camping trip last weekend we stopped by Soda Damn--and well I am not much of a nature girl (or hiker, or liker of small/dark spaces) so I did not climb up and see the hot spring (plus I have seen it once--) so I stayed down and took a couple of pics (on my internal memory, since I forgot the memory card lol)

After the little bit---my daughter (who loves to rock climb since she was about 4) decided she wanted to climb the side of Soda Dam---so off daddy and C went!! me and B stayed down as he isn't much of a climber.....ALL of course while Mom was down below having a mild heart attack!! "be careful-Jeff pay attention-C watch your footing-OOOKKK its really NOT funny (as they laughed @ me)" These were all things I was saying lol ok speaking loudly

She made it to the top and was very excited!!! and mom calmed down some :D

Camping!!

we have been camping 2x in the last 2 months. and both times I have had NO camera. the first time the camera was dead--the 2nd time camera was charged but no memory card!!

so all i have are my cell phone photos and they are not great.....
