one of the great things of living in near Albuquerque is the hot air balloons dotting the skies in the Fall weather. Getting to see the balloons every day (well as long as the winds cooperate) for two weeks is beautiful.
On the last saturday of the fiesta, we got out early way early to go to Mass Acension. now this is not really something you know will happen until you are up & there. Sometimes the winds make the balloons grounded till later in the day.
well on Saturday morning we were lucky to have the balloons going up. We got to be there for Dawn Patrol....a few selected balloons go up....very cool!!
but did I mention it was freezing cold!!!
once the sun comes up. the fields are filled with balloons ready to go up....

after the balloons are up in the air...we were walking back to the truck & there was a rock climbing wall. And if you know my daughter you know she never turns down a rock wall---she is a climber!!
the girl running it was cute, she was like ok she can climb...not thinking she could do it...but she let her try. Since the girl didn't think Carolina could do it, she put her on the 2nd to hardest side & was WAY surprised when Carolina was more than 1/2 way up :D and asked "how old is she?" we said "turned 5" and the girl was shocked :D (yes proud mommy moment).
Sadly, she didn't make it to the top, cause Carolina's fingers were frozen...
