Fundraiser dinner

Carolina's dance studio had an enchilada dinner to raise funds for their upcoming summer trip.  They will be traveling to florida to dance on a Carnival cruise ship and also at Walt disney World.

time for a parade...

the State Fair parade.  The dance company my daughter belongs to, has a float.  And with the float comes decorations!  

Here the kids were 'painting' cotton candy for the dancers to hold.  

of course after a LONG night of painting, balloon filling, float building...certain little people get super tired.

Then its off to the parade at a "too early" time!!

The float looks great!!  so many great workers...working late (or early) into the morning.

life as a dance mom has started

boy!  I am beat.  my daughter was asked to dance in an upcoming dance show (2 mts of intense practice)....she and I are at the studio about 3-5x per week...crazy...but isn't this beautiful girl worth it!!

Baila! Baila!

my mom wanted Carolina to join Baila! Baila! so off we went to our first dance class last night.
and yes my daughter wanted to quit (the other girls/boy knew all the steps & she had the wrong shoes) but I told her to just finish this class & then decide. She finished & decided she'll go back.
here are some pictures & videos...and yes she does look a little lost BUT I am extremly proud of her, she stuck it out and kept up!!

So tomorrow (or this weekend :D) we are off to buy her MORE dance shoes....ok. she is getting a little expensive....good thing it was grammie's idea and she is paying for this class....

Carolina & dancing

my baby girl loves to dance....Saturday was her first dance class (the 2nd class, but we missed the first class because of the sTate Fair Parade)
She was very excited to go...she got her dance clothes & ballet shoes on & off we go.
The parents have to wait outside of the class, so the pictures are not very great....



She was a little upset that I didnt' have her tap shoes yet (I didn't think they would need them so quickly, but she did, whoops)
